Banda Sinfonica La Artistica Bunol
The symphonic band “La Artística” de Buñol, more than one century old, is considered as one of best wind bands in the world. During its long history, the band has been awarded numerous prizes. At the famous international contest “Certamen de Valencia it obtained in the First Prize in 1963, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1992 and 1993. In 2001 the band took part in the 50th World Music Contest at Kerkrade, NL. “La Artística” obtained a series of awards, in fact all important prices available in the concert division: Certified First Prize with the highest score of all participating bands, the “Golden Timpani”, the World Champion Flag, the Flag for the highest score ever attended by a foreign band at this WMC Contest. In July 2001 the band obtained the “Golden Record” of the record firm World Wind Music for a sale of over 20.000 wind band music recordings. The band boasts over 160 musicians conducted by the renowned Dutch maestro Henrie Adams. www.laartistica.org
